P40 Series Hydraulic Control Valves The P40 manual check valve is a manually operated check valve often used to control the flow direction of liquids or gases. It usually consists of a valve body, a spool and a handle. The valve body is a pipe connection made of metal or plastic with inlet and outlet calibers. The spool is a movable part, usually made of metal, whose position can be changed by the operation of a handle. When the handle is in the closed position, the spool is pressed against the sealing surface of the body, preventing fluid from passing through the body.
